Art in Motion on Black Cabs | London, UK

October 13, 20251 min read

Some exhibitions take place inside galleries. Others appear on giant digital screens. Then there's London, where the artwork travels through the city itself.

One of the most memorable experiences of my career has been taking part in Art in Motion, an innovative exhibition created by Plogix Gallery that transforms London's iconic Black Cabs into moving galleries. Instead of waiting for people to discover the art, the art travels through the city's streets, passing famous landmarks and introducing itself to commuters, tourists and Londoners along the way.

I love the idea that art doesn't always have to hang on a gallery wall. Sometimes it appears unexpectedly as a Black Cab drives past, offering someone a brief moment to pause and look a little closer.

This page records my exhibitions through the Art in Motion programme. Below you'll find the featured artworks, exhibition dates and the stories behind each exhibition. My thanks go to Plogix Gallery for such an imaginative way of bringing art to the streets of London.

One of London's iconic Black Cabs ran around London with my artwork, "Poppies and Wildflower Meadow", emblazoned on the side. Inside the cab, "Flowers in the Castle Moat" was displayed.

During March 2026, my artwork, "Impressionist Irish Woodland," ran around London on the sides of a Black Cab. Inside, "Wild Summer Bouquet" was on display.
